September 20:th 2012 – Great Norwegian KBD Wannskrækk – Faen Kuler Treffer Aldri Riktig Plasma Plater – PP 1 – 1981- 7″ I have been following the Norwegian hardcore scene since it more or less begun in the early 80’s. However – Norwegian punk has been on my radar only for a few years. At parties in Northern Norway I heard Olso Børs which caught my interest. (Listen to ♬ Smukke Folks Børn) Slowly I have been buying Norwegian records. This one is not easy to find – I have no ideas about how many copies was made – but is shows up rarely. Wannskrækk was from Trondheim. Here in Scandinavian we can hear the strong Trondheim dialect (Tröndersk) which is was not to common in Norway as everyone tried to sing in official Norwegian. The first vinyl release was on the compilation vinyl Kraftrock (I would love MP3’s of that). The four song EP Faen Kuler Treffer Aldri Riktig was released in 1981. A 12″ was released the next year. The band was quite popular but the real break through came when they changed into a more rock sound and became DumDum Boys . I however prefer the Wannskrækk punk beat. On ♬ side A there is one song (Så From) but my favorite is the two (three?) songs on ♬ side B , Blå Heder and AG-3. All songs in 320 kbps. I got this record from the great seller Emerald Blues in Oslo from where I have earlier bought Norwegian records. This record has some surface noise but I still happy when I put it on the turntable – What do you think? Click on the images to expand them to higher resolution. Share this:
