Livin’ Sacrifice ‎– Levande Offer Rosa Honung Records – ROSA-5 LP – 1982- LP

This all girls band from Stockholm started in 1978 when they where 14 years old with help and guiding from a teacher at their school. They mastered their instruments quite fast. The EP San from 1981 is a killer as well as the single Fuck Off / Rocker (the later song is an AC/CD cover). I play both of them regularly. On this release from 1982 they had develop av more hard rock sound with influences from bands like Girlschool and Runaways. That’s okay by me. I selected two songs with a some a punk beat ♬ Populär and ♬ Illusion (both 128 kbps). Their lyrics were in Swedish (which I like) and the title of the LP “Levande Offer” is just Livin’ Sacrifice in Swedish

Early in their career hey attended a feminist rock show and had a guy in a trench coat flashing his dick – a fun story, but maybe not to appreciated by the promoter. However – Livin’ Sacrifice wrote some lyrics from their female perspective but was never part of any feminist movement. They preferred to play. Eventually the band broke up and reformed into hard rock act Aphrodite, but that another story.

I glad to find this record in nice condition – I will play it regularly – and my wife loves it!!!
