July 24:th 2013 – Motörhead meets D-beat Impalers, The – S/T Beach Impediment Records – BIR-002 – 2012 – 7″ What happens if you take Fast Eddie from Motörhead, the drummer of Anti-Cimex plus a vocalist from the first wave of the Stockholm Death Metal scene and form a band? My guess is that they would sound like Austin’s (TX, USA) pride The Impalers. Some of these songs were originally released on tape in 2010. This record is a re-issue, it was first issued (in 2012) on black vinyl. I thought it was the opposite so I bought this one as I thought it was the first press. As the collector-scum I kind of deserved that. What I can confort myself with is that this one is more limited: 200 copies only. The band also made an EP in 2011. One of them came in a limited edition with an obi – as they played at Chaos In Tejas. Looking for that one. The Impalers have members from Mammoth Grinder and Hatred Surge (I believe). I saw them at Chaos In Tejas in 2013 and just wish them to come over to Europe. Okay – enough with the writing, check ’em out. ♬ Full EP (MP3 320 kbps). Songs: Rabid Transgressors / Wheel Of Pain / Return To Eden / Out For Power / Turn Me Loose. Click on the images to expand them to higher resolution. The rips and images are from my record.
