July 25:th 2012 – Near Mint from Radioaktiv T.S.T – T.S.T River Records – RR001 – 1983- LP Seller Radioaktiv on discogs is one where I buy a lot of records. This is certainly true for Scandinavian KBD. This guy focus on great condition and really good service. Most stuff is Near Mint and even Mint. I have bought 35 years old records from him which looks like new. I actually bought this a while ago but I have forgotten to catalogue it. In several interviews T.S.T state that the band name is an abbreviation of The Shock Treatment, a flirt with the Ramones. T.S.T was from Västerås, Sweden and made the EP Väktarnas Värld which is really hard to find. It was followed-up by the 12″ No Teenage Future in 1982. After this LP they made another 12″ in 1984. Quite productive eh?. On top of that they did occupied a house and had to do time for that! There are those who would accuse T.S.T to lack creativity – but some songs on this record really kick ass. Maybe not too innovative but with right attitude. Fast and furious – just like I want it. Okay there are some crappy songs on it but the the two first songs – We Are the Kids (You Love To Hate) and Last Year Dead (both 128 kbps) are for you to judge. I find the stereo sound strange on the first song. I have just broken the stylus on my turntable and have changed it including some tonearm settings. However, I guess it’s the recording and not my turntable The record comes with a gatefold sleeve – all pictured. Share this:
