Riistetyt ‎– Laki Ja Järjestys

P. Tuotanto – P.TUOTANTO 3 – 1982- 7″

Riistetyt from Tammerfors, Finland, started as Cadgers in 1979 with a Pistols sound. Their first vinyl was the split with Kaaos in 1981, on the label: P. Tuotanto, at that time they sounded hardcore punk. Short after that they changed the name to Riistetyt which actually means “Exploited”. Laki Ja Järjestys – translation Law and Order – was their debut EP under their new name. It’s also released on P. Tuotanto a label that seems to put out 200 copies of all their early releases.

As pioneers in Finnish hardcore Riistetyt hit bullseye with the Laki Ja Järjestys-EP. It got everything I love with early hardcore. Simply said – it’s a kick-ass EP.

This release with quickly followed up with two LP’s: Valtion Vankina (1982) and Skitsofrenia (1983). The band played mainly in Finland in the early days but managed an US tour as well. On this record the line up was: Lazze Lateri (vox), Raipe (guitar), Piise (bass) and Stydy (drums).

The band took in hiatus from 1985 to 1999. Lazze (vox) is the long-standing member in the band but I believe Piise (bass) plays in the current line-up. The first generation band members could also be found in bands like. CNT, Kohu 63 and Nuket.

For more info on Riistetyt; check out their web-page.

There are 7 tracks on this EP – Here is two of them.: &#9836 Sä Maksat and &#9836 Orjuus (MP3 320 kbps). Both of the track is the last track on each side. Like it? Go out and buy Riistetyt records!

This record is from another collector that is selling off parts of the Finnish stuff. I guess we will see more cool stuff in later posts.

The sleeve is a fold out sleeve. What look like damages on the sleeve is the plastic cover. It did not want to open it twice. It’s very Mint. The record is EX-. Click on the images to expand them to higher resolution. As usual all images and audio clips is from my record.
