A bunch of records from Zoogin (part 3)

The final records from Zoogin – puh. This time is 4 Swedish punk vinyls – three 7 inch and a 12 inch – Pöbel Möbel, Avskum, Asocial and D.N.A.

June 27:th 2012 – the 4 final records from Zoogin

Pöbel Möbel – Imagination

Skvaller Records – PROFIT 005 – 1986 – 7″

This 7″ by Pöblel Möbel was released on Skvaller Records a label that I understand that parts of the was running. Skvaller also issued a great fanzine. Pöbel Möbel had earlier made a split 12″ with Anti Hund-Mina in 1984. The are four tracks on this and a couple of them are to slow and with to much echo and synthesizer for my taste. The title track Imagination (96 kbps) is the best song.

Avskum– From Visions To Nightmare

Retard Records – RET 001 – 1998 – 7″ EP

Avskum started in 1982 and was very influence by Discarge like the Swedish band Anti-Cimex. A demo was made in 1982 (I’m still looking for it). In 1984 Avskum made the the swedish classic (at least among the käng-community) Crucified By The System It took 14 years for a follow-up on seven inch. So how does they stand? Well if you like the genre – quite good. I could wish that drumming was faster. I have selected the title song From Vision To Nightmare (128 kbps) to listen to. If you want to know more about Avskum plesae check out their web-page where you can find links to CD and the full history of the band.

This realease comes in a nice fold out sleeve with the lyrics and credits on the inside

Asocial – House of Gore

Crash Mag Records – Crash 3 – 1992- 7″

Asocial released their first demo in 1982 (also released on vinyl later) and was influenced by US hardcore bands by MDC and DRI and blended it with both a Discharge and Exploited sound. Åke Henriksson of Mob 47 claims in the book Swedish Black Metal, by Daniel Ekeroth, that the battle of the fastest band was won by Asocial back in 1982. Later the bass played formed Svart Parad and Asocial formed a more crust sound. The first 7 inch was released in 1984 (Det bittra slutet), followed by Religion Sucks in 1986. This record from 1992 was released by Crash Mag Records (it’s the same guy who released the fanzine Crash Mag) and have a death metal sound which is not strange, really. Several Asocial members formed various metal acts like Hatred. Of the thee songs there is one Discharge cover Q And Chidren A And Chidren and two death metal songs. I have selected the title song House of Gore (80 kbps) to listen to.

DNA – A Trip To The Land Of The Dead … And Back

Not on Label – RECORDS 002 – 1985 – 7″

Another brutal Swedish act – this time from Skövde. I know that DNA planned to release a 7 inch on A-records but I don’t know what happened. This record was recorded in 1984 but released in 1985. The Matrix has an erased A. It was also issued on Hardcore Horror Records in 1985 with a different sleeve but the same matrix. Someone that can fill in the story? Nillen was singing in DNA and he was the original vocalist of Anti-Cimex (who DNA also shared rehearsal room with). For me this 12″ inch is confusing. There are two songs with English lyrics which somewhat doom-style and two songs which are more hardcore. I seems like the band has not fully set the agenda on the musical direction at this time. The song Vägra is one of the two songs with english lyrics

The record has one white label and one printed. The sleeve is a fold out sleeve with credits on the inside.

  1. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for novice blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Hi here, thanks for reading. Sorry that your first comment got lost – it might this site – all functions are not perfect yet.. I have myself build most of this site but the base is wordpress. It gives you a quite a lot of good tools. If You want to start a blog (which I hope You do) check out some of the how to guides (blogspot etc). Try writing “How to make a blogg” on google. Should work. You don’t have to write much codes for of the blog tools. I made this from scratch beacause I don’t want any advertiment.

I can’t guide you to any specific place but just ask you to let your creativity loose. If you like what You do on your future blog – it will be a good blog. Just a final thing – this is not really a blog in the pure sense. I post records that I buy and add SWEDISH fanzines since I beleive it will ge a larger audience. That is all!

It seems I have responded to a spam bot. Well it was at least a flattering one.

Got something to say?
