The Technics SL 1310 Mk2 was manufactured in 1979 and 1980 by the Japanese company Matsushita (Panasonic). It was the next generation of the Technics SL 1300 Mk2 which was produced in 1977 and 1978. It got an PA-100 tonearm. The direct drive machine feature quartz pitch control, quartz digital driver, quartz oscillator frequency divider and speed change, phase and speed control, and full-cycle integration-type frequency generator. The 1310 series was also fully automatic. My machine got a grade gold cartrige and stylus.

I bought my Technics SL 1310 Mk2 in 1977 – and according to info here it was not manufactured until 1979. Beats me…

Got something to say?
