Charles Bronson ‎– Youth Attack! (1997)

Charles Bronson ‎– Youth Attack!

Lengua Armada Discos ‎– LA-13 – 1997- 12″

There is a warning label on this record stating: WARNING Material intended for youth. This masterpiece not for sale to anyone old. When it was released back in 1997, I was apparently already to old for this record at that time, needless to mention my age when I bougth it a month ago.

As a band Charles Bronson has its genealogy tracked back to Infest and powerviolence hardcore. Formed in Illinois with Mark McCoy on vocals. He was later in Das Oath and run the record label Youth Attack . As usual I don’t really make any reviews of records, but I was front at the Infest as they played in Chaos In Tejas this spring. That could be a possible indication I like the genre.

I did not have this release but ran into found a nice copy of the first press (which also have a large poster with all the lyrics). There is a clear vinyl press as well from 1997. After that it has been re-issued several time. This label Lengua Armada Discos is managed by Martin Sorrondeguy of Los Crudos, also situated out of Illinois.

Here is a teaser (two songs)! Wanna more? – get the record yourself: ♬ Marriage Can Suck It / Youth Attack! (MP3 320 kbps).

Hm – I can hear the left channel broke down on this recording – will fix new rips at some time
