Face A / Face B

There are tape labels and there are Xcentric Noise Records and Tapes . Andy Thompson in Hull, UK released his first tape already in 1980. Making Beat the Meat Andy created a master by using his neighbour’s double cassette deck. 100 copies were made – still on my want-list. In 1981 Xcentric Tapes made Hardcore or What So which was pressed in 250 copies. Tape 3 was Punk Is…? in 350 copies (1982) and tape 4 was Raw War (300 copies, 1983). At this time Andy had started to release vinyl records as well. This tape is the 5:th tape in the tape compilation series. 500 copies was made and they quickly sold out. This tape also (like the one before) came with a printed label (on the A-side only to save money) but got a nice artwork by Pushead.

This tape is packed with awesome bands: Destructors / The Razor Blades / Protest / Upright Citizens / Poison Idea Powerage / Malice / Plastick / Neos / The Obscene Females / Rejestracja / Panic Stricken / Scapegoats / 5° Braccio / Cencur / Camera Silens / Stoned Rayzens / Dezerter / Skunks.
